It was launched by WPC, the world's largest wireless charging alliance. It aims to standardize wireless charging for all devices. It is the most mainstream certification for wireless charging. However, Qi-certified ICO testing is charged once, and many merchants are deeply troubled by this.

Wireless Power Consortium WPC
WPC——Wireless Power ConsortiumThe Wireless Charging Alliance was established on December 17, 2008. As the world's first wireless power industry standards organization, WPC has developed an international wireless charging standard - Qi - that is compatible with all rechargeable electronic devices, and continues to promote widespread market adoption of this standard.
Products certified by the WPC Alliance will be marked with a "Qi" LOGO。

In March 2018, WPC began to implement the new V1.2.4 Qi certification standard. All certified products are divided into two types: BPP and EPP according to different load power.
In addition to the above two, there is also Samsung Fast Charging, which must be done if the product supports it.
Compliance & Compatibility , Two keys to Qi certification
The Qi certification test consists of two parts：
①Conduct compliance test (Compliance Test) in ATL laboratory, perform the steps after PASS②；
② Compatibility testing at the IOC laboratory（Qi Interoperability Test）。

Note 1：When performing steps ① and ②, customers need to purchase membership and ID. (This ID number will be used for column names on the WPC official website.)
Note 2：ATL——Authorized Test Lab，It is a compliance testing laboratory authorized by WPC and has many choices in the country.
Note 3：IOC——Interoperability Test Center，It is a compatibility testing laboratory authorized by WPC
5、Set of prototypes , What does the Qi test measure？
Customers need to submit 5 sets of prototypes, one of which will first be sent to the ATL laboratory for compliance testing. After passing the compliance test PASS, ATL retained 1 set of samples and the other 4 sets were divided into two groups and sent to two IOC laboratories for compatibility testing.

● Timing of communication protocol between transmitter and receiver
● Test power output capability through translation of XYZ axis
● Maximum supply capacity of energy transmission
●Foreign body detection FOD（Foreign Object Detection）
Compatibility testing
●When the transmitter and receiver are put together, the two need to establish communication within 3 seconds;
● When the battery power of the test product is 10% to 20%, it needs to be charged for five minutes.
Notice：
Note 1：If there is a use case test that fails, then another IOC laboratory will immediately conduct verification. If it passes, it will be judged as PASS; of course, if two use case tests fail, the conclusion is FAIL.

Except Qi , What certifications are needed for wireless charging？
There are currently hundreds of members, including Apple, and nearly 7,700 products have obtained Qi certification. Products registered with Qi certification not only comply with corresponding safety and performance specifications, but are also compatible with products with wireless charging functions from different manufacturers。
